Overview

Trigun Character Weeks will be a hub-account for a series of Trigun-related event weeks in 2025 and 2026! All versions of Trigun - manga, '98 anime, and '23/'26 anime - will be featured in these events.A variety of prompts to choose from will be provided during each character week; these prompts lists will be released at least two months in advance, and can be found in our Schedule or on our social media accounts. These prompts can be interpreted however the participants wish - they're mostly there to inspire you, not to constrain you!Each week will focus on a particular character - be that a main character, side character, or version-exclusive character - that has had fewer fandom events focusing on them and their story within Trigun. We hope that fans of all varities of characters will enjoy using our prompts to create for their favorites!The prompts we will provide include:

- Story promptsThe event will be run on BSKY and Tumblr under a rotating tag: #3gun(Character)Week

Entries that have been properly tagged will be promoted by the event accounts. If we haven't shared your work by the end of the week, please don't hesitate to directly @ our account so we can promote it! We easily may have missed it :)An AO3 collection for all written entries will be available shortly after our first event begins!

FAQ/Guidelines

Q: What's allowed to be featured in this event?

The Do's:
~ The events hosted by this account/blog will be strictly SFW. If in the future we find there is a demand for character events involving NSFW, a separate hosting account will be created to accommodate that!! This is to enable participants of all ages to safely curate their experiences and interact with the main event account while participating in our events. Do what you want outside, just keep works submitted to the event tag SFW! :)
(Note: Gray areas like nonsexul artistic nudity should involve censor bars to be promoted. Sexually suggestive and explicit works will not be promoted, period. Failing to heed this rule and submitting explicit works to the event tag will result in a warning for everyone's safety.)
~ Tag your works appropriately. Otherwise, they will not be shared by the main account. Anyone is welcome to participate in these events as long as they adhere to the rules. To show respect towards other fans, we ask that you make it easy for others sharing the event tag to curate what they see!! Tag by ship, content, warnings, what to expect, etc. The event tag is, after all, our collaborative event space.
~ Trigun as a series canonically involves heavy themes such as graphic violence, abuse, experimentation, and many others. As long as your works remain SFW and properly tagged, things like blood, canon-typical gore, and character death are fair game for your event submissions.
(Note: Heavy themes that are canonical yet sexual in nature like SA and rape do not fall under the event-permitted canon content umbrella, and thus an EXPLICIT depiction of these themes is not fair game for submissions due to the aforementioned policy on NSFW submissions to these events. We ask that non-explicit allusions/references to canonical Trigun scenes be handled with respect, empathy, and with ample warning provided. Please adhere to this rule for everyone's safety.)
~ Our events welcome any shipping or platonic content involving the focus character! As long as the content you create remains centered on the week's topical character, you can have them interact with anyone and everyone. You are not restricted to creating solo-content.
(For example: you can create MerylMilly, Meryl/Elendira, or Polygun content for Meryl Week - as long as your work focuses on Meryl!)
~ Respect your fellow creators' headcanons, designs, and efforts. Be kind to your fellow Trigun fans in our event tags.The Dont's:
~ Please!!! do not submit NSFW works to the public tag for all of the mentioned above reasons.
("If my account has/includes NSFW, can I still participate?" Yes, you can! As long as the work submitted to our event tag is SFW and adheres to the rules. All we aim to curate are ourselves and our blog, not you!)
~ Works that fail to tag their content appropriately will not be promoted by the event account. If you are ever in doubt, just tag it. Over-tagging is better than under-tagging. We are happy to offer suggestions if you are uncertain about how to tag your content for everyone's comfort. Just shoot us a message and we'll respond as fast as we can.
~ NEVER go into the event tag to harass other participants. This is a zero-tolerance policy: if you are found doing so, you will be blacklisted from participating in all future events hosted by our team. Just scroll and move on if something isn't your cup of Ceylon Tea.
~ For the mods' own comfort, please do not include ships involving characters that are underage with an adult character in your submissions to our events. Just not something we'd prefer to touch/regulate. Personal boundary.
~ Attempting to submit works created using AI will result in a blacklist. Attempting to submit stolen works will result in a blacklist.

Q: What kind of content can we make for this event?

You are welcome to contribute all forms of art to this event!
This includes, but is not limited to:

~ Edits/AMVs
~ Cosplays
~ Merchandise
~ Poetry

Q: Can we submit works to events that have already ended?

Absolutely! You can create content based on our prompt lists whenever you'd like. You can be a month late. You can be a year late. Early...? eh, maybe not that one. In these cases, please do tag our main account to be featured; once an event is over, we don't intend to be monitoring the old tags as intensely as before. We don't want to miss your submissions!

Q: What's the difference between Word Prompts and Story Prompts?

Word prompts are single words that the mods felt were relevant to/associated with the character in question.
Story prompts are single words that the mods felt were relevant to/associated with the character's story. These will be featured (roughly) in chronological order. They will include story moments/arcs from all continuities of Trigun, and we hope they make it easy for you to dig into some of the details of the less-explored characters by building off of canon story beats.

Q: I have another question. Where should I submit it?

Our Tumblr's ask box will be open for anon submissions shortly!! Answers to these questions will be shared on both Tumblr and our Bsky - and if we feel they are relevant enough, they will also be added to this page.

Hi hi! My name is Charlie and I've been wanting to make something fun like this for a while! I got into Trigun about two years ago and it hasn't released me from its grip since. I post artwork on Bsky/Tumblr and I used to post on Twitter (but I've mostly gone inactive on there for my own comfort). I also post fics on ao3! I've assisted in a lot of small fandom events but mostly have experience as an art participant/assistant in zines. I do intend to run these events pretty hands-off beyond making sure the basic requirements are met and organizing the submission sharing, so I'm crossing all the fingers there aren't too many issues. If there ARE any issues with the carrd, please let me know through the Tumblr ask box - I have never made one before and I do not have the premium version ;-;

Halloooo! I’m Birby and I’m so excited to be a helper mod for Trigun Character Weeks! Trigun Stampede lured me in in 2023 and then I got hit with a Trigun Maximum shaped mallet. I’ve been in Trigun hell ever since and I love it here! I have experience moderating for zines (Gift Orange and Love & Lassos, most recently) but this is my first time moderating a long-term event.
